Hale Avenue Townhomes project is complete

Hale Avenue Townhomes, Phase I

Phase one of Avondale Development Corporation’s Hale Avenue Townhomes project – the first new affordable housing project in decades – is ready for its new tenants. The official ribbon cutting is expected to be held in August.

The affordable housing-focused development is designed to ensure housing choices that respect and sustain a vibrant Avondale and improve the marketability of the neighborhood. Hale Avenue phase one comprises twenty-four newly constructed townhome style homes located at the corner of Hale & Hallwood Avenues in Avondale. The townhomes are for sale to families and households that earn no more than 115% of the area median income. The Community Development Fund and First Financial Bank provided the funding for the project.

The ribbon cutting of these new townhomes will take place in August. Residents seeking housing in Avondale will be able to buy a townhome come August.
