The 2022-2024 ADC Strategic Plan

Earlier this year, the Avondale Development Corporation’s Board of Trustees approved the next iteration of the organization’s strategic plan. This plan plots Avondale’s revitalization efforts from 2022 to 2024.

Our vision is an Avondale that is a culturally rich community of choice where residents, businesses and partners are empowered to live healthy and thriving lives. In pursuit of that vision, ADC develops housing, real estate and economic initiatives while working collaboratively with residents and partners to address priorities that promote the well-being of Avondale residents.

The new iteration builds on the success and momentum ADC has helped create in Avondale – the hottest neighborhood in Cincinnati. The goal remains revitalization, not gentrification, and this plan outlines our steps to make a better Avondale for both current and future residents and businesses. Our strategic initiatives are guided by our Quality of Life plan – the official master plan for Avondale.

Connecting Avondale residents and enhancing their overall well-being by communicating information that helps them live, work, play, worship and thrive is a central part of our strategy. We will continue to deploy all manner of communications vehicles while exploring new channels to reach residents.

ADC will continue to strengthen the housing stock in Avondale. Our goal is to complete the Blair, Hale and Bogart/Glenwood developments over the next three years while continuing to promote Avondale as a great place to live – especially for employees that already work in the neighborhood.

Creating, sustaining and expanding partnerships is also a key focus area. Our list of partnerships is impressive and growing, and includes some of the most notable businesses and organizations in the region.

Organizational sustainability will be an integral part of the success not just of this plan but of our efforts to continue the revitalization of Avondale. We will accomplish this through a robust fund development strategy, driven by partnerships with experience in this area.
