Uptown Consortium, Inc. – a client of Avondale Development Corporation – has helped drive the revitalization of Avondale for nearly two decades.

The Uptown Consortium, Inc. contracts with the Avondale Development Corporation for a variety of services.

ADC provides community engagement support for the Uptown Innovation Corridor, a 65-acre innovation and technology hub which, when fully implemented, anticipates $2.5 billion of project investment, more than 3.5 million square feet of mixed-used development and 7,500 jobs.

ADC also provides planning consultation for the Burnet Avenue Redevelopment effort spearheaded by UCI, as well as general community engagement support throughout Avondale.

UCI brings local neighborhood, civic and institutional leaders together to focus on opportunities in transportation, safety, economic development, community inclusion and more. To date, UCI’s efforts have facilitated $1.4 billion in development projects (redevelopment, new construction and neighborhood improvements) in Uptown Cincinnati, inducing over $2.4 billion in total project investments throughout Uptown.

Founded in 2004, UCI was forged by the leaders of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, UC Health (formerly Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati), TriHealth, Inc. and the University of Cincinnati. These anchor institutions shared the idea that they could accomplish more — for themselves and the Cincinnati neighborhoods where they live and work — by working together.
