The Avondale First-Time Homeowner Workshop is a multi-session education and readiness program designed to empower Avondale residents to become informed, confident homeowners. Administered by the Avondale Development Corporation (ADC), the project provides workshops and individualized support that cover the full spectrum of the homebuying process—from budgeting and credit readiness to working with lenders and maintaining a home post-purchase.
Our homeownership training series will include:
A three-part workshop series led by financial and housing professionals, including certified HUD housing counselors, mortgage lenders, and realtors.
One-on-one counseling sessions to assess credit health, create individualized action plans, and connect participants to available financial resources such as down payment assistance and first-time buyer programs.
Homeownership introductory workshop to connect participants with local banks, inspectors, and city housing representatives.
Participant incentives and learning materials, including workbooks, budgeting tools, and completion certificates to motivate engagement and celebrate progress.
