The redevelopment is being led by 8K Development Company, LLC

Together, they are crafting a plan that respects the site’s history while expanding its reach for modern community needs.

Project Highlights

  • 8,300 square feet of new commercial space, envisioned for neighborhood-serving businesses, food enterprises, wellness services, and flexible community programming.

  • 18 newly constructed rental units, bringing new, high-quality housing to Avondale’s central corridor.

  • Comprehensive pre-development work is underway to determine the best layout for the multifamily and commercial components while preserving the building’s historic character—a priority for both developers and neighborhood residents.

  • Roof stabilization is scheduled to begin soon, preparing the structure for the major redevelopment phases ahead.
