MARK FISHER

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES, PLANNING AND SUSTAINABILITY, CINCINNATI ZOO

Mark Fisher has been a member of the Avondale Board of Trustees since 2018.

Mr. Fisher has been the Vice President of Facilities, Planning, and Sustainability at the Cincinnati Zoo for more than a dozen years, where he is the driving force behind the Zoo’s nationally recognized sustainability movement and goal of becoming the greenest Zoo in the world. Mr. Fisher’s involvement with the Zoo began as a project manager for Turner Construction Company overseeing the construction of several major Zoo exhibits.

Mr. Fisher’s sustainability and outreach efforts in the community have been recognized by awards such as the Cincinnati Business Courier 40 under 40 Award, US Green Building Council (Cincinnati Chapter) Person of the Year, AZFA Conservation Award and Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation Partner of the year, among others.

Mr. Fisher is also involved with several non-profit organizations, including SonLight Power, Gabriel’s Place, Reds Community Fund and Habitat for Humanity. He is married with four children.
